Where can I get help reviewing and understanding my benefits?
After accepting your new position, Human Resources (HR) will provide you with a packet of benefit information and election forms during your pre-work appointment. A detailed benefits presentation is offered during New Employee Onboarding and a follow up discussion is available as part of Take 2. If your benefit eligibility changes, you should schedule an appointment with a Benefits Consultant.

Payroll

When am I paid? How do I sign up for direct deposit?
Human Resources and Payroll Service offer a variety of services and information that new employees will find valuable: direct deposit, payroll calendars, and tax information. You can also find information on what your pay stub will look like and a description of each section.

Telephones

What do I need to know about the telephone system? Your position may require intensive telephone skills.  We have listed some frequently asked questions, but if you need to know more, check out the telephone manual.

How do I forward or unforward a telephone? To forward a telephone - press the line appearance of the number you wish to forward.  Press the button marked "Forward" on your telephone.  Enter the extension of the phone you wish to forward to and press the "Checkmark" button at the bottom of the phone. To unforward a telephone - press the line appearance of the number that is forwarded.  Press the button marked "Forward" on your telephone.  The line is now unforwarded.

When I answer my telephone all I can hear is beeping. Someone is trying to send a fax to your phone.  Simply hit the transfer button (or press the arrow button at the bottom of your phone until you see "Start Transfer" on your display) on your phone and enter the extension of the fax number in your area.

How do I check my phone mail from home? Call 598-4750 and follow instructions as usual.

Where do I park and how do I get a West Virginia University Hospitals parking pass?
You will receive a parking pass when you complete your physical. The areas in which you can park, as an employee, are detailed on the employee parking map. The Security Department patrols the parking areas and they re-validate parking annually. Employee parking changes on WVU game days and is detailed in this handout.WVUH Badge
