INFORMATION TO PROVIDE TO NEW EMPLOYEES:
New employees will be searching for answers. If they don't get the right information about their role in your department, there is potential for frustration and misinformation. You have the opportunity to supply your new hire with all of the tools and information to be successful.
The most important piece of information you can give a new employee is who he or she can contact with questions about policy, benefits, performance management, payroll and related questions.
Beyond that, here are some key pieces of information each employee needs to know:
Is my position considered exempt (salaried) or non-exempt?
Explain overtime rules and provide a copy of timesheet and how to clock in if appropriate.
